Brandy's Tortilla Soup


1 onion chopped

3 cloves of garlic

2 tbl olive oil

1 lb. can stewed tomatoes

2 cans each chicken and beef broth

2 t cumin

2 t chili powder

2 t salt

2 t pepper

3 t Worceheshire sauce

Several dashes hot sauce

1 can Rotel tomatoes - diced tomatoes and green chilis

2 cans corn

2 cans of black beans (optional)

2 packages chicken breasts with skin (boiled for an hour or until cooked through)


Chopped Cilantro

Monterey jack

Cheddar cheese

Sour cream


Sauté first 4 ingredients.

Add next 10 ingredients.

Simmer 1 hour. 

Add de-boned chicken before serving.

Top with last 5 ingredients as desired.
