We took the train and spent the day in Lucca. After Lucca, we switched our hotel to Torre Di Bellosguardo. The hotel was a castle and it was a gift that Napolean gave to his sister. The hotel "keeper" recommended a phenomenal trattoria where Brandy had her first lemoncello.

Lucca is a walled city like many others, however in Lucca the top of the wall is so wide that there is a tree-lined path. That's Brandy in her red raincoat.

This was a mummy at the Duomo in Lucca.

This is a canal that ran along some streets in Lucca.

The Duomo in Lucca.

This was the tomb of someone important inside the Duomo. There's a skull between the coffin and the deathbed. See next photo.

The keys at Torre Di Bellosguardo are big skeleton keys.

Our Favorite Trattoria, great service, great tiramisu splat and a stuffed chicken that was amazing - not to mention free Limoncello.
