Argentina - Day 11

Day 11, Wednesday, 3/12
We never seem to get to breakfast on time so we retreated to our favorite café in town for coffee, food and chocolates.

This was a sneaky fun day for us. We went back to the Iguazu National Park. We didn’t have high expectations but went back just for the “adventure trip” (as it was advertised). We drove through the rain forest in a large jeep and finally made it to a dock where we boarded a speed boat, strapped on life jackets and secured our possessions (including much of our clothes) in dry sacks. We took the speed boat about 2 miles to the falls, where Brazil was on our left and Argentina on the right. We passed enormous boulders and mini waterfalls. We reached the big waterfalls where the boat would drive right underneath them and soaked us all. This repeated in several different water falls. It was great fun and a perspective of the waterfalls that we have never seen.

After drying off and walking through the park more, we took the bus back to the hotel in time to enjoy the pool, some incredible daiquiris, check email and watch the sun set over Brazil and Paraguay.

We had drinks and dinner at the hotel, where we enjoyed our last traditional Argentina meal gigantic steak, 3 versions of dolce de leche and some tasty lemoncello.
