Argentina - Day 6

Day 6, Friday, 3/8

Day 6 was a travel day from Buenos Aires to the wine region of Mendoza.  The region is a bit rougher than Napa/Sonoma but none the less beautiful.  Grapes for as far as the eye can see and wineries dotting the valley, warm during the day and cool at night.  We stayed at Cavas Wine Lodge which was perfection.  We arrived around 4 pm, were greeted with a glass of wine and sat down to a lunch of an excellent cheese tray.  We settled into our house which had indoor and outdoor fireplaces, a swimming pool, and more room than my first apartment.  Our first dinner was at Club Tipaz, a vineyard who produces wine under the Terrazas label.  The beef was divine, the lamb ravioli was good and the wine was juicey.
