Argentina - Day 1
Day 1, Sunday, 3/3
We arrived at Krista Hotel in Palermo Hollywood. It’s a cute boutique with small rooms, good service and some amount of history as it was the mansion of Juan Peron’s cardiologist. We grabbed a pizza at a local joint when it started to pour. When the weather cleared up, we headed to the Botanical Gardens which were beautiful and full of cats. We walked there from the hotel which was quite far, but it was a good opportunity for us to get our bearings. For dinner for our first night we went to Miranda, a good but not fantastic restaurant in Hollywood. Tim suggested that we get to know the local bars so the the evening continued at Unica, where we indulged in the local beer, margaritas and vodkas.
